I know, I know... I have been sooooo behind on blogging and social media. Marketing is the lifeline to a successful business, and I have been slacking. Well, sort of... life has been crazy busy, like for real cray cray, which is good for the business side, but has been keeping me from doing life with quality. Because of this I'm going to be making some adjustments in how I run JBP. So, let's get to it...
One thing I want to go ahead and hit head on is pricing. I know you're all expecting it. Who isn't going up on their prices these days. For me, it's more of growing pains rather than economy and inflation. As with any business, the need to improve systems, upgrade equipment, investing in education and advertising... these are all necessities to provide the best quality product and experience to clients. I'm very much a perfectionist when it comes to serving others. Due to the growth path that I have laid out for my business, it is necessary for me to increase my pricing starting June 1st. No one likes to do it, and I have held out for a while now, but as this business grows (and I'm excited to say that it IS!) so does the cost to run it. With that being said, if you book your session for any part of 2024 prior to June 1st, I will honor my current pricing. So, if you have been on the fence about allowing me to photograph you or your family, NOW is the time to book your session!
Another change that will be coming to JBP is regarding gallery delivery. As many of my former (and current) clients know, when I advertise my sessions, I give an estimate of how many images at minimum you will receive. When I deliver your final gallery though, I always deliver WAY more than I originally proposed. I like to think of it as a way to pamper my clients by giving them as many options as possible... however, time is money. And yes, a photographer's pricing is advertised as a "1 hour session" or a "15 minute mini session" but what clients don't see is the hoursssss that are put in behind the scenes to make your images flawless... scouting out the perfect locations, communicating with clients, scheduling sessions, editing, editing, editing. All these things take time away from our families and other projects so that we can serve you with the best quality product possible. As of June 1st, I will be sticking to the quoted number of images but offering a preliminary gallery viewing for you to pick YOUR favorite images. This will allow you to see all your images and give you the option to purchase additional images if you would like. By doing this I can better serve you, my clients, by being able to deliver your galleries sooner because I'm only editing your absolute favorite images and not wasting time on the other images that you wouldn't have framed any ways.
